CONCEPT
Two Worlds
To visualize and express the damage that funding cuts and program eliminations could do to children in the art.
Narrative
A child sits in a chair with a violin in their hands . When the child begins to play the instument they are taken into another world of creativity. Being able to express their ideas and broaden their imagination. This world was nurtured through the educational arts program at there school.
When the child stops playing the violin is taken away by an instrutor and the teacher walks off stage. This represents the crushing of the creativity formed with in the child. The instructor represents the budgets cuts that has taken away they opportunity to play this instrument.
The Representation
Child represents the children in the educational system
The violin represents the arts
The person of authority represents the budget cuts to the art programs
